Affiliate disclosure

We earn a commission when you buy through links on this site. Here is exactly how that works and what it does not change.

Last updated September 30, 2026

The short version

Perch & Posture participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

If you click a product link here and buy something, we earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra - the price you pay is the same as it would be arriving at the retailer any other way.

What we hold, sell and accept

  • We hold no inventory. Nothing on this site is shipped by us, stocked by us, or handled by us.
  • We sell nothing. There is no store, no checkout, and no product we would profit from beyond the commission on a retailer's sale. At least one publisher in this category discloses selling the products it ranks; we are not in that position, and we think the distinction is worth stating rather than assuming.
  • We accept no sponsored placements. No brand can pay to appear here, to rank higher, or to have a competitor removed. There is no rate card because there is nothing for sale.
  • We accept no free products. No samples, no review units, no loans. Which is also why we have not tested anything - see below.

What the commission does not affect

The order of the picks. Rankings come from a published rubric of six criteria, each computed from the manufacturer's own published specifications. Different products pay different commission rates; the rubric does not know what they are.

Where a cheaper option is better for you, it is the higher pick even though it earns us less. You will find that on several pages - including one where our top-ranked product is the cheapest in its field, and another where we rank a 400 lb chair above 700 lb chairs that cost more.

Re-ranking is triggered by a specification change, a newly qualifying product, or a price move that changes cost per warranty year. Never by a rate card.

How the links work

  • Product links route through a redirect on this domain before reaching the retailer. That lets us maintain one place where a destination is configured, so a dead product link is a data fix rather than an edit to fifty pages.
  • Every earning link is marked as sponsored in its HTML, per Google's link-spam policy, and opens in a new tab.
  • Every buy control carries an #ad label and a link back to this page, above or beside the link itself rather than only in the footer - because a disclosure a reader has to go looking for is not a disclosure.
  • Citations and source links are not affiliate links. When we link a standards body, an OSHA page or a manufacturer's specification as a source, that link is a plain link and earns us nothing.

Prices

Prices come from the retailer, not from us, and they change. Every figure on this site is fetched from a live lookup, stored with the time of that lookup, and refreshed daily.

A price older than 48 hours stops displaying. Past that point the reader sees "check price" rather than a number, and where there is no live price at all, there is no number - not a range, not an approximation. Prices on this site were last verified September 30, 2026.

We do not control pricing, stock or shipping, and we will not imply we do. You will not find "lowest price guaranteed", "limited time" or a countdown anywhere on this site.

We have not tested any of this

Units we claim to have tested: 0. It belongs on this page as well as the methodology page, because it is a disclosure: when we recommend a product, we are recommending it on the strength of its published specification and our arithmetic, not on having used it.

That is why we also accept no free products - a review unit would create exactly the relationship this site is built to avoid, and it would not change what we can honestly claim.

The full list of what our method cannot assess is published rather than buried: all-day comfort, foam breakdown, build quality, assembly, noise, and whether a seat that fits on paper feels right to your body.

Other programs

Today, Amazon is the only affiliate program this site participates in. We are not enrolled with any other network or any brand-direct program, and no link here earns through one.

If that changes, this page changes with it: any additional program will be named here, and links that earn through it will be marked exactly as the Amazon ones are. We will not add a program and leave the disclosure describing the old arrangement.

Questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you think a link is not disclosed properly, tell us or email info@perchandposture.com. See also our editorial policy, which covers what can and cannot influence a ranking.
